The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
